Call from Mr. Hunt-53 Raymond St. re: would like to have an officer at his house at about 5:00 p.m. today as the boy that confesses to breaking into his house is coming to talk it over. Jim Oliver and Pettis took care of this. |

Oliver-Walnut Terrace in re: magazine salesmen that are around. Didn't like their looks and wondered if they were alright. Told him they had been checked out with the Better Business Bureau. |

Called to find out where the fire is. It is in woods on Salisbury St. near Jordans. Called No. 1 and when Joe Harrington called back I told him. |

Call from Mrs. Hall-Bascom Parkway re: she gave a check to a magazine salesman for a magazine and she made out check to Jack S. Lay but the receipt was signed by F. Welwig. Wondered if this was alright. Told her that we had checked with the Better Business Bureau on them and that they were supposed to be alright. |

| Call from Donald Williams of the Better Business Bureau in Worcester re: magazine salesmen that are working in Holden right now. He advises that we order them out of Holden immediately as they have received many complaints about them as we have. He said that they are falsely representing orphanages, etc. and high pressure people. He also explained that they are not a bonded company and that there is not any guarantee that the people will receive their magazines. When we contact them he wants us to tell them to come in to the BBB or they will be banned from all of Worc. County and Central Mass. and will be exposed on radio and in the newspapers. Called Jim Oliver re: above. He came up and got the cruiser and went out on investigation. | |

Call from SP re: break at Food Fair. Wants to know if we have sent someone and whether they want finger print man to assist. Jim Oliver was here getting cruiser at the time so he talked to him. Asked them to send finger print man to meet him. |

| Call from Mrs. Thomas Kimball who is in Worcester at home of her sister-19 Cheever St. She said that her husband is at their home at 126 Arizona Ave. is drinking very heavily and has two loaded guns and is coming in after her with the guns. Called No. 1 who also had me contact Jim Oliver re: what action to take. Jim Oliver called Worcester Police re: above who will go to 19 Cheever St. | |
| Call from sister of Mrs. Thomas Kimball at 19 Cheever St. Re; Mr. Kimball was at her house and has not returned to Holden. Informed Jim Oliver and Russ Pettis and they went to Arizona Ave to wait for him. | |

Call from Sgt. Armitage-State Police re: they just received a call that Kimball has another pistol even after the two guns which Oliver and Pettis took away from him. He has called his wife in Worc. that he is taking pistol and coming after her. If you need assistance call the State Police and they will help. |

Call from Sgt. Armachek-Worc. Police re: would like to have Holden Police pick up Kimball as he calls every few minutes to home on 19 Cheever St. and threatening Mrs. Kimball while his officers are there and the whole household is very upset. Informed Jim Oliver of this. Jim said that he didn't think Kimball had any more guns as his father said that the two guns they took away were all he owned. Jim and Pettis to go back to Arizona Ave and wait for Kimball to come out as he has said that he is going to Worc. to get wife. Jim and Pettis out again. |

Call from Sgt Armachek-Worc. Police to inform Jim Oliver that Worc. Police just picked up Kimball in Worc. and will lock him up. |

Call from Millie Welch re: cr pulled out directly in front of her and she had to stop short throwing her baby from seat. The baby was hurt and the driver of the other car did not even stop to see if they were alright. Driver of other car she said was A. Roy McKay. Would like to see police right away. She was very upset. Called Steve in No. 1 to go to meet her. |

| Call from Mrs. Burke-Holden St. re: suspicious man at her house this afternoon while she was out. Man asked her mother a lot of questions and said that he was a telephone man. She checked with phone company and they said that he could not be a telephone man or he would have been in a telephone company car. He was driving a new white car reg. 11193. Wants Jim Oliver to look up number. Will have Jim call her after 6 p.m. | |

Call from Mrs. Burke again. She wants to talk to Oliver right away, not at 6:00 as this is a very serious affair. Wants man arrested for impersonating this same man at her husbands place and her husband was signing some papers he had. She seemed very mixed up and really told me some wild stories re: her experiences. |

Call from Millie Welch re: wants the cruiser to break up gang on bicycles near Fruit St. In particular the Williams boy and David Austin as they are picking on the other kids. Charlene Welch was hit by an apple which was thrown by David Austin had has a large welt on her cheek and they have been scaring the little kids and not letting them by. Sent Steve in No. 1. |
