| In July 0f 1964, NASA tested the first successful electric rocket engine as part of their SERT (Space Electric Rocket Test) program. Conducted at Wallops Island, Virginia, the engine was successfully operated for 31 minutes. Established in 1945, Wallops Island is one of the oldest flight facilities in the world. | |

Riordan in re: investigation of pony getting killed the other day. Mr. Dourdeville had just taken two animals across the street and was on his way back when his Shetland pony, white color, 15 yrs. old valued at $200.00 came dashing across the street and was struck by car Reg. R55607, operated by one Michael McGuinness, of 53 Ascadila Road, Worcester. Brake marks showed that the right wheel dragged for about 80 feet and the left wheel dragged for about 55 feet. He was going toward Princeton and the operator could see clearly for about 300 feet at least. |

Mrs. James Leesha Main St. Rutland, formerly Alice Peabody calls re: her dad just left the yard in his car headed toward the home of Arthur Fortin, 18 yrs. old who Peabody says raced his car engine unneccessary by his home. Mrs. Leeshas husband brought him back home. |

Bill Hunt of 53 Raymond St. calls re: B&E&L at his home during the day between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. I called No. 1 Hammond and had him take care of the investigation. See his report for details. |

Hammond calls re: Pierces house next door. Apparently also entered into. Nothing seems disturbed. I think that they punctured the bathroom screen and slid same up and went out through the back door. Neighbors across the street have key and he is expected home Tuesday morning. Three windows on lower floor left open. Screens o.k. Not a good situation. |

Pettis and Welsh in with young chap, George V. Stoneham, who claims that he was assaulted by Mr. and Mrs. Anthony White of Main Street, when he brought the daughter home. Told us that he knocked up their daughter and that she was three months pregnant. Told him to meet Officer Pettis at 8 a.m. at the District Court, tell Clerk Mellquist his story. We also advised White to be there. |

| Call re: trouble on Putnam Lane., at the home of Raymond Cehnevert. Chenevert and Fred Eichler of Wachusett St. had purchased a case of beer and were drunk. Both work at Reeds, and Redds are now on a two weeks vacation. They got into an argument over how much money Chenevert owed him. I took Eichler home. | |
| Hazel Lund of Sterling Road calls re: troubles at the old McGraw place. Mr. and Mrs. Dunham of Canada live there. He is drunk quite often. Wife is 5' tall. Ran out of the house and up the road.. Sent No.1 to investigate. | |

Call re: car L29400 1964 Dodge apparently been involved in an accident. We checked this car out and found that it had been hired in Boston from a rental agency, that the party who hired the car gave a phoney name, bad check also. Had this car towed to the Sunnyside Motor Co. and the owners picked same up. |

Fire alarm. Fales barn on fire. Had Riordan and Pettis at the corner or Malden and Main St. Hale at Meadowood and Hammond at Malden and Wachusett Sts. |

| Joe Daniels re: Bassett Hound at the Dawson. I called Mable Mathews at the Holden Hardware and she said that it belongs to young Kohlstrom son of Marie and Frank Kohlstrom. He is also bothered by dog No. 808 owned by Wm. Dolan, 22 Princeton St. Jefferson. Hammond told her and she will keep dog restrained for the balance of the pool season. | |

Called Marie Kohlstrom re: Bassett hound. Did belong to Frank F. Kohlstrom the electrician at 9-3365 but he gave same away. Present owner not known but will see Kolstrom on his return. |

Talked to Mrs. Kohlstrom of Bailey Road former owner of Basset Hound nuisance at pool who gave it to Fred Curtis of Colonial Road. Called Curtis and he said that he was not claiming the dog. Will catch same and kill it. |
