  In June of 1964, the first draft of a pilot television show entitled "The Cage" was released. (Later known as "Star Trek"). Star Trek first aired in 1966, only to be cancelled during it's third season due to low ratings. It returned, however, (in various manifestations) for a total of 30 seasons and 726 episodes.

1.15 p.m.
George Courville, Putnam Road, calls re: loss of his sons Columbia bicycle, Red, 26" frame, white grips. Missing Sunday at 5 p.m.
   
Tuesday, June 2nd, 1964
1 p.m.
S. Nowak on patrol duty. At 4.15 p.m. traffic jam by Ellis's Market. Told Supt. that I would have an officer each day while they were on the state road.
   
Wednesday, June 3rd, 1964
9 a.m.
Mr. John Pierce, Commerce High Principal calls that the Senior Class is having a party at the Fairbrook. Friday 6/5 from 8 p.m. to 1. a.m.
8 p.m.
Fred Castendyk, of Main St. Rutland R59131, 1960 Opal Station Wagon, in re: he almost overturned his car last night just beyond the Jefferson mill because a fellow backed out of his drive way too fast.
   
Friday, June 5th, 1964
1 p.m.
S. Nowak on patrol. Reports that he received a call from the National Construction Co., who are erecting the Jeff. Post Office re: larceny of nine 4X8 sheets of plyscore at 4.50 a sheet, also previously taken but not reported 10 2X4's 7.50.
8.30 p.m.
Chief Creamer calls re: Sam Burrows son had a used car in the yard and yesterday some one used a screwdriver to remove parts and to-day set fire on front seat. Sent Hammond to investigate and as the result decided that it was Sam Burrows oldest son.
   
Saturday, June 6th 1964
8 p.m.
Frank Lambert of Sterling in re: his son Allan 17 yrs. old was hit unexpectedly at the W.R.H. School. Allan told me that he started to kid John McGovern of Paxton in class and then kidding kept up from the both of them. Seems that he got under Johns skin and later John let him have it. Required medical attention. Suggested that Mr. Lambert who is on the W.R.H. School Committee take it up further with Mr. Skillings and Mr. White.
11 p.m.
Miss Kenman (girl friend) of Wayne Johnson) calls re: his whereabouts. Supposed to have left his home about 8 p.m. in a 1953 Chev. Blue, red fenders and hood. Sent No.1 to check on road to Tatnuck and I called her back that we could not locate him.

Ada Bodycott calls re: nasty phone call 12.30 a.m.
10.30 a.m.
Mr. Peter Nygard of Newell Road calls re: crazy driving of Alan Hakala. Followed them terribly close and then would slam on his breaks. Frightened his wife and family. I told him that I would look up Alan.
10.35 a.m.
Call re: Accident on Newell Road near Salisbury St. I called up D. McCauley to assist in the investigation. Found Hakala, Moulton and Turner had crawled out o.k. McCauley will file a report. At 6 p.m. Mrs Nugard brough in a letter relative to Hakalas driving on the other end of Newell Rd.
1.30 p.m.
Call re: bad accident on Reservoir St. Mr Lemon of So. Road in his Jeep truck, small Volkswagon with three old ladies in same and a ranch wagon with two men. McCauley covered report. We called in Hale to assist. I took photos of scene.

Fred Robert, Mass. Dept. of Public Works, Wor. Project Dept. wants accident reports on Route No. 31 at the Causeway for the past five years.

12.20 a.m.
Pettis in with drunk ARREST; Frank I. Jones, 4940 N.Winthrop, Chicago, Illinois, who was wandering around the gas station of Atkins, drunk.
8.45 a.m.
Elsie Wilcox calls re: scandal at St.Francis's church involving the pastor and lady. Told her that we have no comment to make. None of our business.
9.35 a.m.
Lawyer Corena of Fusaro and Fusaro calls re: his wanting all five pictures. on the Reservoir St. accident case. Will have his wife pick them up on Tuesday possibly She teaches at the W.R.H.School.

Jack Burns of Nola Drive calls re: there being a rope across the road at Highland Ave. on Highland St. and he almost had an accident as the result. Sent No.1 to check.

Call re: fight at home of L.Prue Jr. on Res.St. Sent No. 1 to investigate.
9.30 p.m.
H.Waite calls re: no lights on at the back door of Wor.County National Bank.

Anna Lufkin of Miles Ave. calls re: her dog bit a lady yesterday, who lives in the third house over the railroad tracks on Princeton St. Told her to tie up her dog for 14 days.
   
Wednesday, June 17th, 1964
4.15 p.m.
Edward Andrukonis of Arizona Ave. calls re: having had stolen at Peter Carrs pond an old aluminum boat, pram type, 9 ft. long. No. MS5032 E. valued at $50.00. Nowak recovered same and the owner came to the house and claimed it. This boat is a piece of junk I would say. Mended plenty. and it is also battered. Worth at most about $10.00.
6.05 p.m.
Larry Neale who works at the Tech Lab in to report that a car pulling a trailer went into the vacant two tenementhouse on Lincoln Ave and took out the kitchen cabinets, sinks and toilets, also some shrubs in the rear were dug up and taken away. Mr. Neale and the teck boys have no idea who gave these people the o.k. to take this stuff away. Mr. Neale also said that Mrs. Pette, of Shrewsbury St. knows who the boys are who have been breaking the windows in this particular house but is scared to say who they are.

Raymond Hayes calls about a friend of his, Mr. Black wants to buy and move a house over the Newell Road. Wants to know the police rules.
1.50 p.m.
Mrs. Sawyer of 465 Salisbury St. called about some boys doing something to a car in front of her house that looks suspicious. Sent Nowak. Was a stolen car.
 
Friday, June 19th, 1964
12.30 a.m.
Ed. Harrington Jr. calls re: noise at the new home of Kim Bolack, Gladys Drawbridge called him. I called Pettis and we took both cars. On arrival he covered the car that was in the area and I took for the house. Smelled beer as soon as I got inside and heard some one running through the woods. The car was locked up. It belonged to Dr. Feinsilver of 7 Colony Lane, Paxton. Sam his son had the car. See report of Pettis for complete details.
8.28 a.m.
Anna Lufkin calls re: her dog who has been under quarrantine for one week. Mr. Lundquist never has seen her. Told her to restrain same for another week and to call me then.
8.30 a.m.
Dr. Cramer of Meadowood Drive calls re:loss of clothes valued at $10.00 off of the clothes line.
2 p.m.
Mrs. Finnegan complains about speed of traffic on Highland Street nights from Armington Lane to Nola Drive after 9 p.m. Will have boys check on same.
3.30 p.m.
Fred Riley of Mid Town motor Inn 1157 Chapel St New Haven, Conn. tel Area 203-865-4163 calls re: five bad checks given to him by one Geo. Festa of Lincoln Ave. Holden amounting to $200.00. Will get official warrants right away.
 
Sunday, June 21st, 1964
1 p.m.
Call from Dan Harrington, High St. re:female dog of Hickey is a nuisance. Is licensed o.k. but is in heat and gets hung up plenty in front of his children and he does not appreciate same. I went up and talked to Mr. & Mrs. Hickey and they agreed to keep the dog tied up for duration of said condition.
1.38 p.m.
Hammond in with man involved taking car 964125 without permission of owner. Has no operators license. He had the daughter with him and she also has no license. ARREST. Car is owned by Norman Barbour, 15 Larch St. Worcester. Charged him with "Operating without operators license!".
4.24 p.m.
Accident at Kings Market on Shrewsbury St. involving Fred Curtis, who had one drink of beer, lives on Colonial Road, and Harrington, insurance man from Worcester.
 
Monday, June 22nd, 1964
3 p.m.
E. Gibbons calls re: Corbin boy left his bicycle at the rear of the Rice School and it has disappeared. English black color and name hand painted "Nick" 2nd hand. chrome fenders, white handlebar grips.
5.20 p.m.
Mrs. Matti Jameson, Princeton St. calls re: an arguement with her landlady who has threatened to kill her dog.
   
Tuesday, June 23rd, 1964
9.25 a.m.
Frank Zottoli reports vandalism. Broke light at the corner of his driveway and stole the ornament on top, a robin.
3 p.m.
Harold Eaton calls that last night Doyle boy and others tore down the street sign at the corner of Beechwood and Nola Drive. I will have men check that area to-night.
   
 
Wednesday, June 24th, 1964
4.30 p.m.
Call re: boards loose on Manning St. Bridge.
4.55 p.m.
Stephen Rowell in re: two boys in a car passed him and as they did so one of the grabbed the towel that was under his arm in which he had wraped his transistor radio valued at $14.00 and it dropped to the ground smashing same.

Nick Malooley calls re: gas line cut and gas being stolen.
9 p.m.
Sally Knowlton calls that they are going on their vacation but that some men from the sales staff at Nortons are to stay at their home during their absence.
   
 
Friday, June 26th, 1964

I called Skillings re: radio broken by Billy Gustafson who was in his sons car.
8.30 a.m.
I called Gustafson and he said that the boys in the car had agreed to split the cost and pay Rowell over the weekend. Told him to call me when paid for.

Mr. Snow from the Holden Clinic calls re: stolen EXIT sign.

State Police call re: Worcester Five Savings Bank alarm just rang. Sent No.1 and S.P. also answered same.

Jas. W. Beechan, Highland St. Dodge Station wagon, 1959 model slipped the brake on Highland St. and hit a pole but no apparent damage, to same, in front of home of Guy Elmer.
